After we talk through the home and count what is going on the truck, you get one figure on paper. Truck, crew, blankets, wrap, and mileage all sit inside that number, and packing, boxes, or storage can ride on the same quote.
How soon should I reserve my date?
A fortnight of notice covers most dates, though Saturdays in the spring rush and month-ends go first. If a slot opens sooner we take short-notice work too, so ask either way.
Do you charge by the hour or by the job?
Both, depending on the move. Hourly runs $139/hr for two movers and a truck or $189/hr for three (two-hour minimum Mon-Thu, three-hour Fri-Sun), and most whole-home jobs go on a written flat quote instead.
Is there a deposit?
A $75 deposit holds your date and crew, and it comes straight off the final bill. The quote itself is free and puts you under no obligation.
Gate codes, arsenal badges, HOA rules — a problem?
Not for us. Gated subdivisions in Point Loma and Clairemont, building rules around the Sorrento Valley tech corridor, and certificates of insurance for the property manager are everyday paperwork for our office.
Do you take pianos and gun safes?
We do. Pianos run from $285, safes and other heavy pieces from $325, and the price goes into your written quote before move day — boards, straps, and stair gear ride along standard.
Closing dates that will not cooperate?
That gap is exactly why we keep storage in-house. The crew that loads your home seals it into our own San Diego storage on a rolling monthly basis, then brings it back when your new place is ready.
Are you licensed and insured for a move like mine?
We are. Always Moving San Diego holds California PSC household-goods registration, runs interstate under US DOT and MC authority, and carries cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment.
